I ordered a few too many duckling from Metzer Farms this summer. They were hatched in mid-late august. The breed is Golden 300 Hybrid. (It's a high production breed, not heritage). The ducks eat .40 lbs of feed per day when full grow. They lay 290 eggs in 52 weeks of lay. They are all brown, with pale peaks, and some yellow beaks. Duck eggs are in high demand right now, so this truly is a great deal. They will be laying in late February, just in time for spring! I will offer tips and advice from my experience raising ducks, if you would like that as well. I have 24, the more you buy the more you save. them, give or take a few. They do great in the cold.
