"Golden Buff", "Golden Comet", OR "Buff Orpington" ???

Cynthia,

ONCE AGAIN, THANK YOU !!!

I believe that you have answered my question.

IF the six eggs that the broody hen is setting actually DO hatch about the first week in June, it will be VERY INTERESTING to me to see what they look like.

They are definitely projeny of THIS rooster, as I have no others. I kinda suspect that they will look a lot like the rooster as they mature. (Whether they hatch or not, I'll be getting some day-olds this Summer.....I'm undecided whether I'll just stick with Buff Orpingtons or perhaps get some Black Australorps and Jersey Black Giants. It will probably depend on availability. I'm thinking it would be interesting to cross a Black Australorp rooster with Jersey Black Giant hens. (To get a BIG Chicken that lays BIG eggs.) I'm sure this has been done before.

THANKS for the helpful, experienced opinion!
Bruce
