Golden Comet? Doubtful

Golden comets are a red sex linked hybrid. Red sex links result from the crossing of a white female (usually)of certain breeds to a red male. A lot of people use the term golden comet to refer to a red sex linked although I suspect it's meant to refer to a specific crossing (thinking a Rhode Island white hen crossed with a Rhode Island Red roo) the offspring will be red females and white males. The reason I said all that which you probably already know is to say that your bird could be the result of a red sex link pairing (white Wyandotte hen to red Wyandotte roo) and therefore be being called Golden comet for that reason. If that is the case and it's the result of that pairing it should be a male based on color alone. Anytime I see a chick described as red sex link or one of their many given names and I see white I think it's likely a male for that reason. That being said if yours IF from a bin where it's possible that other chicks could've been mixed in mistakenly you could have a pure white Wyandotte.
