One of our golden comets (our oldest) is at least 2 years old. We got her from someone and she was already laying age but he wasn’t sure exactly how old she was. She has always laid eggs that were longer and more pointed than “normal” eggs. Some times that would have speckles, some times not. In the past few months her eggs have gotten stranger. The pointed end are misshapen and the speckles are raised. I would imagine her age has something to do with it. But I’m just wondering if it could be any other reason. I ultimately don’t care how they look just wondering if it’s anything that I can do to help her if it’s another issue beside age. All the chickens have free choice oyster shells and free range at least half the day.
The bottom egg is just there for comparison. That is a “normal” size egg.
