Golden comets

I have 8 golden comets and i was wndering how long they lay eggs and how old they get.

I'm new here, this is my first time posting. While i have had chickens off and on for 35 years, this is my first time with Golden Comets. I'd like to find the answers to that question too! I just got 6 pullets that just started laying.

Mine are 15 weeks old tomorrow, our neighbors have hens two weeks older than ours and they just started laying two weeks ago, so I think mine are due this week ... I hope.

Around 6 months they start to lay.
As soon as I put them on layer pellets, then 1 week later I got my 1st egg.
My girls lay about 5 eggs a piece/ week.

my comets just started laying 2 out of the 6 .. they are 16 weeks.. we weren't even ready.. but they seemed to get into the communal nest boxes and just laid.. no golf balls or anything in there yet.. the eggs are small like grocery store but byc members said it takes 1-2 months for them to lay bigger.. guess they need to stretch things lol. gl with yours
