Ive heard that golden Comets have a bossy and aggresive attutuide towards other chickens, is that true? Also, how big do they tend to get? Thanks

I had one. She was pretty much the same size as my RIR's...She just happened to be the hen in charge but she was very tame. She's the one on the far left. She was the first to lay and very consistant layer.

I have 6 of them, I don't find them to be agressive at all. One of them is the top chicken, but she doesn't pick on any of the others. They are smaller and thiner than my buff orps. they are excellent layers. Mine lay every day, and never slowed down over winter with no heat or extra light.

Ok...first off we have 2. They are amazing layers. One a day, no extra light and it's a big egg-2.5 and above! But they were horrible with our other hens/roos. We have Wyandottes and the Comets were *itches! Friendly to us, but nasty to the flock. They are much, much smaller hens compaired to the Wyandottes too! We still keep them, due to their eggs

They have settled down a little, since we added a few roosters

I had 6 (one was killed last summer). They laid early and good layers for about a year and a half. My girls are almost 2 yrs old and their production has really dropped off. Only one of them has been aggressive to other chickens. The others are friendly.

I have 4--first I've ever owned. When I approach them they squat to be picked up. If they are in the nest when I collect eggs they never peck at me--as opposed to the RR's and BS--and usually just move out of the way. I'd say they're pretty laid back.
