Golden pheasant pair

I have a pair of golden pheasant they just turned 1 year in july the female hadnt started laying eggs yet it there a certain time they lay eggs and the male always dances for her but she just runs away is she not ready or she doesnt like him

You sure have a pretty pair of Red Goldens. Yes, they will be all right. The hen won't start to lay until late March or early April when your spring temperatures start warming up. Laying season for these birds usually goes from late April until mid August, or when ever it starts getting really hot. Good Luck with your birds.

Is that your breeding pair? The reason I am asking is your female looks like a yellow golden not a red golden

That looks like a Red Golden to me....

It looked like a red to me at first then read this and looked again it is very light on the sides like a yellow golden but there is brown on top and the yellows are grey not brown so red golden it is !

She's a little light on the sides but defiantly a Red Golden hen.
