Anyone know a breeder that has polish that are colored like this guy? ( see below) If so please point me in the right direction.
My mom fell in love with this picture but it's from a hatchery catalog and I'm pretty convinced she'll be disappointed with the quality of her chicks if she doesn't get them from a breeder/hobbyist. I'd like to find some chicks to send her as a surprise early birthday present. Thanks!

If you're expecting the birds to look like that, you won't be disappointed. That is actually considered poor quality

The tophat is very sparse and stringy, the beard is very small and lacking, etc.

Hatcheries offer this color, some "breeders" with hatchery stock do too, but true good quality ones are pretty rare!

Coloring is a gamble, then. I know Welp has some badly colored ones, but everyone once in a while a few good ones, McMurray gave me a few good ones and a few bad ones, but they ALL died due to weakness/intolerance of climate, and really, the only well colored Polish I saw from a hatchery were from one that went out of business.

Course, it probably depends on you opinion of a nice color too though. Most people will settle for anything labeled "gold laced" - Personally I will settle for something very close to the standard, which are hard to find. (good, defined lacing throughout the entire body, no solid colored feathers, no blottiness, no excessive peppering in tail)

I got some very nice buff laced polish from cackle hatchery.....I no longer order from hatcheries because of the bad birds I got,but cackles polish seem pretty decent. You may try them......???
