Hi! I have a super sweet month-old golden sex-link who has had an issue with her left eye for the past couple of weeks. It almost appears as if she has something in her eye (though nothing I can see) as it seems to bother her intermittently; one moment she'll have both eyes open and appear fine, the next she's blinking her left eye or has it completely closed. At first it didn't seem like it was really bothering her or affecting her behavior, but now it almost appears as if it's affecting her confidence with regards to eating at the feeder with other chicks on her left side (she closes it almost instinctually when someone gets close to her) and with flying to a low roost. I looked at her eye closely and couldn't see anything like worms or crustiness, so I don't think the problem is disease related (and none of my other chicks seem to be having the same issue). Is there anything I can or should be doing? I'm considering calling a vet or taking her in to see someone this week.
Thanks in advance for your help!
