GOLDEN SPANGLED SPITZHAUBEN - Gorgeous!

I've been wanting some but something tells me that they are not purebreds.

May have been a Golden Spangled Hamburg OR Gold Brabanter breeding in the background.

So it is worth the time and money to figure this one out, go for it!

I was compairing. I guess, the thing to do would be to email the seller and find out where they got them or how long they have been working on this color.

WEll several of us as Spitz breeders have asked him about it and he replied back that they were purebreds.

However there are NO Golden Spangled Spitzhaubens ever imported in the US. Unless it was one of those Canadian imported ones which I would not doubt that. If he imported them from Canada, then that's great!

I have Appenzeller Spitzhaubens, NOT Swiss Spitzhaubens or German Spitzhaubens as some hatcheries call them or Silver Spangled Spitzhaubens (which they may have been crossed with Silver Spangled Hamburgs which i would not be surprised somewhere in the background).

Beautiful birds tho!

I think I've seen these birds and have one of the silvers with the gold gene, from this fellow, and yes I do get gold about one out of 10 or so. beautiful and genital birds. mine lay well too
