So this is Goldie. She's been one of my favorites since we first got our chickens. We thought she was a buff orpington but she was the only one with those yellow legs. So we are thinking buff Plymouth rock. Now I'm just confused though cause look at her tail feathers! But her face doesn't look our other roosters. What is Goldie?

Thank you so much! So far he's just mellow and kind. I hope he stays that way. We already had to kill 😭 2 roos who were being abusive to Big Bird, Our most beautiful rooster.
See if this one is submissive. Do they fight? Sometimes if one is dominant and another is submissive two roos will be fine together. And even sometimes two dominants work together, though this I've only observed when there is another roo or two that they may feel they have to keep in check. They may have a few scuffles, too, but let them fight as long as no-one draws blood or seriously injures the other. This is normal when deciding placement in the flock. Has this roo shown any aggression toward you or alpha roo?

Oh no. This one (goldie) is a sweet heart. He will eat out of your hand and likes human interaction. I thought he was just one of the girls this whole time. He's not even trying to mate with any of my girls.
