Gone blind

I don't know what has happened to cause this, but my 3 year old Belgian Bearded Duccle has definitely gone blind. First it was only the right eye (it had turned a milky white and she obviously could not see out of it, by the way she acted) and now, though it hasn't turned milky, she seems to not be able to see from the other eye either. I had to separate her from the flock a few days ago, when she started getting picked on, and that's when I noticed she cannot see from that one eye. Has this happened to anyone else? What could make this happen? I don't see anything on this on the net...

Marek's can cause blindness. See this link, which also has a picture (1/2 way down the page) of what the eye may look like if Marek's is involved.

I can't think of anything else other than a genetic disorder perhaps.

Hmmm..great link but the picture doesn't look like her eye. Her eye was completely clouded over like milk was in it. Weird. The other eye looks clear, but now I swear she can't see out of it. I was rubbing her chin and smoothing her "beard" down to get it away from her eyes and I could have touched her eyeball because she was not blinking or even looking at me. Poor girl, I have no idea what to do for her. She is now depressed...

I don't know what may have caused this. I have a 5 year old EE hen that has gone blind. She still gets on the roost at night, but I have to take her off in the morning. She makes her way to the feed and water and pretty much does just fine. Once in a while she even makes her way outside, but not often. Sometimes the others do peck at her, but she tries to keep out of their way. She has no other visible problems and seems to have adjusted pretty well. If the others begin to pick too much, I may have to separate her, but for now she is fine. She is a talker and much more so now, when I enter the coop, she immediately starts talking. Sorry I don't really have any advice.
