My town is soo cool! On the last day the pool is open they have a special session that evening for dogs to come and swim. There were all kinds of dogs, it was fun to watch them. Most stayed in the shallow end, which left the deep parts for adventurous dogs who were retrieving balls & sticks, and a couple even jumped off the diving board!!

Maggie is a stray that we rescued in April. Since she's a lab we figured she might enjoy it and took her. She had a BLAST! You know how your kids are when you take them somewhere and totally wear them out? She was like that. After swimming for an hour and a half, she was slumped up against the van door in her seat with her face smooshed on the arm rest the whole way home - snoring!!

Here are a couple of pix that I thought might bring you a smile!

Hey, i saw that on TV last night, and I am in Pittsburgh!!!!!!

I am so jealous, I have an 8 month old Golden Retriever and he would LOVE that!!! (He launched airborne into our hot tub a couple weeks ago.. holy DOGHAIR in the FILTER, ugh!!

Yeah, I was worried that she'd come home and want to get in the Intex/frame pool, but she hasn't made the connection. All that hair would kill my little filter pump!

The shelter told me she is Yellow Lab and a little Chow. The chow part makes her a little more furry around her neck and hind quarters, and is also responsible for the black polka dots on her tongue - they're so cute!

I'm a cat person, so when we found her I had to head to the library and get some dog books! My mom is still laughing her head off that I have a dog - and she sleeps with me too
