Gone without a trace...

Last night I got home later than I had expected and 8 of my girls were missing from the coop. We searched in the pouring rain for over an hour last night with no luck, and again this morning. I'm wondering if they wandered off and then got disoriented in the rain.
They always come when called and a full sprint. So this has me really worried.

Any suggestions of where to check and how to get my girls back? Will they come home on their own?

If they haven't returned this morning, my gut tells me that you are dealing with a predator. I would not free range any remaining birds until this situation has been resolved. Hope that I am wrong.
