Gonna grow veggies to feed my flock.

If people would only use poopy duck water, they would never consider those chemicals. My plants have never been better. I am so glad I got ducks

We just got our first two and I am planning a pond with a deck so I can drain and use the water on the garden. Good to know it works. We already put the chicken poo on but duck water can't hurt.

Vegetables

My chickens loved the beets and beet tops. They also ate Zuchini Squash, raspberries, brocoli, pumpkins. With the harder shelled squash I just cut in half and they just left a thin shell. Really the only thing they didn't eat where the peppers and turnips (tops or bottoms). Their all time favorite tomatoes. My garden is now fenced or I wouldn't have anything to can they would devour it.

Zucchini is a good one to grow. When the plants go nuts, you've stocked all you can use and the neighbors threaten to shoot you if you leave anymore on their porch in the dead of night, just shred it, put in freezer bags and toss it in to the deep freeze. Since I also toss in stem ends and other kitchen scraps I make sure to write DUCK FOOD on the bag (otherwise hubby will try and cook with it!

). On cold days in the winter you dump that frozen shredded zucchini in to a bucket of warm water and you have a great "soup" for your ducks.
