Gonna have my peafowl.. any day.. any day.. I can feel it..question

I was so hoping today was the day, but I must have given the breeder to short of a notice. I emailed last night, hoping we could meet up today. I dont have much free time.. usually its a last minute thing.. oooooooooooooooooooooo wow.. I have a whole open window from 11-2:00 today. But no go.. boooooooooooohoooooooooooooooooooooooo

Remember I was the one, where the peacock flew out during the exchange a couple of weeks ago.

But maybe its a good thing.. because I ended up ordering 2 more from her.. So now I have 3 coming!!! yeeehaaaw


I have one peahen from the exchange. A really great awesome friend of mine.. met up last time and did the exchange for me. He is too busy for awhile ............. so I've been sweating bullets when I will be able to do it myself.

Sooooooooooooooo I purchased 4 from her ... when you think about.. 4 peafowl...from her..... Cant wait!!!!!

I am like a kid before Christmas!!!!!!!

Heres my question.. I only have two large dog crates.. How in the world.. is a peacock.. 3 years old.. with a 3 year old train, fitting in that????? and noooooooooooo I am not going out and buying something else.. after all I spent..heheheheheh

But do they fit in a dog crate????????????????????????????????

Thank goodness, she is here on BYC/ Peachick- and she is awesome!!! but now I am thinking.. how do I get that in my car.. have you all been on Peachicks flickers photos.. ya gotta see the one I cant wait to get.. take a peak~ and you know why I fell in love with him and purchased him!!!!?????????????? this one I gotta share with you all!!!! and had to have exactly this one for sure!!!

Because, it looks like hands wrapped around his neck....it's like I can count the figer tips..ehehheee... like.. God himself is hugging him/ I LOVE THAT.. I LOVE HIS MARKINGS, HIS COLORING.. EVERYTHING.. AND LOOK AT THE PAINTED EYELASHES.. DOESNT IT LOOK LIKE he's wearing false eyelashes????those 3 dark lines coming from the corner of his eye. Do you all see that too?????????? AND MOSTLY THOSE PAINTED HAND PRINTS..hehehhehe, Peacocks remind of GODS ARTWORK!!!, so I had to have him!!!!!

I don't want to get pooped on. LoL. I just remember when my boy went to the nightbors house, my friend and neighbor had to put him in
the car and bring him home. He took up the whole front. I think they stuck his train out the window. It was only a few houses down. I wish I was there to see that sight!!!!

If you have some scrap wood around build a tail crate to carry him in here one https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=424898
you can put him in a dog crate but I would wrap his tail so he want damage it.

My dad used to be into coon hunting, so he has a big dog box and the door is barred and so when we got my adult pied peacock Dragon we put him in there. Most of him fit and like a foot or a bit more of his train we put through the bar so it didn't get all bent. It worked really well. To get him out I had to stick my hand in the side window on the dog box and push his chest so he would back up. You should have seen the people driving behind the truck trying to get a look at the peacock train sticking out of a dog box! It was soo funny!

cardboard box , with one corner cut down part way for tail to stick out.....lot of air hole and good tape. i use wood crate for most, but have use cardboard boxes...but not in a open bed truck.

We used a horse trailer to transport our 7 year old male in. That was years and years and years ago though. Sadly we dont have him anymore

You can buy a sturdy plastic tarp for what $5-10 dollars. Lay it across your backseat and have him sit on it LOL
