Well I have a buff orph roo thats about a year old. He is starting to get way too aggressive. Debating on the stew pop or releasing him out at my boss's ranch...which is where im probably gonna get a new roo from.

I am in the same boat as you. I think that my rooster is way to aggresive too. I hate to give him up

and it makes it worse that I have NEVER been fond of getting rid of an animal but I wonder if it won't be the best for the flock. I will NOT cull him I have someone that I think will like to take him since he has hens and he did take the other one I had when I got two roos in a straight run batch. I hated giving that one up to but... plucked feathers, bare backs, feathers starting to be pulled from back of heads and hens running would all disappear. He has also started to flog me and my family. That is not something I worry about as I am and was getting that under control but more for the hens. He does have many good qualities about him too. He clucks for the hens to come eat and other things but in the end I wonder would it be better if he left?

I worried and debated this very issue for months. He was beautiful, he was nice to the girls and avoided us for the first 9months ---then he started flogging us. And being aggressive to my hens.. I waited too long--he killed one of them and injuried my only true Ameraucana--which I am still struggle w/ her injury.. I ended up giving him to nephew who LOVES him. He has 40 girls that are as big as he is and he is not being aggressive to any humans.. We are keepers of animals--they come here to live until they die--we don't get them and give /sell them because we are tired of them, they got too big, they make too much noise etc... BUT this roo was headed for the dinner table and I was begged to let my 16yo nephew have him.. I told them several times about ALL his bad habits but they love him...
