Good Afternoon Folks! chicken enthusiast here from sunny (and hot) Miami Florida

Hello, all good here, how bout your poultry, i have my chicken runs under a canopy line of large Lychee trees, shade to filtered sunlight every day, i keep plenty fresh water, replace the water at least twice a day when necessary to freshen and cool new water, I noticed this year that in this heat they dont eat as they normally do, but they are still laying some good sized eggs, ialso been giving them as much cool frits like different types water mellons, papayas, and such. for the most part the rain fall and flooding we been having hasnt been too bad for us, the grading on the grounds draws the water away from the area where the chickens and the horses stalls are, tell me about your experience, Joe

We've had lots of rain too. My chickens have a 28'x12' run with a solid roof and 1/2" hardware cloth walls. It and the coop sit inside a 1/3 acre pen secured with poultry netting.
I provide fresh clean water all the time.
They prefer to drink from all the mud puddles left in the moon craters they've dug all over the pen in an attempt to break my ankles. But I'm on to them...

nice set up!, similar to what I have set up, i have several of these runs side by side, with each breed in each run, also converted a stand alone 1 horse stall used at 1 time for a smaller horse like a Paso Fino into a chicken coop, screened up the windows and doors, this is where i keep the Australorp's also use the turn out behind this stall to let the Australorp's out. i keep a few used old truck tires in the coops as well filled with sand where my chickens go to for dust baths. keeps the craters at a minimum for me, cant wait to leave work at 6pm to go out to the ranch and see how many eggs I get to pick up today, "the high light of my day!

Hey my chickens are doing well. I too change the water daily. And they are in a 12x6 run and I have a coop connected which is another 4x5.
They haven’t started laying yet since they are about 12 weeks
