Good bye sweet Abigail

My semi-house chicken Abigail died Friday. She was my sweetest chicken. She loved to cuddle and would sit for hours to be petted. I miss her greatly. Rest easy sweetheart.

Thank you for the kind words. I'm sorry to hear you lost Buttercup as well. It's never easy, that's for sure.

I have many more girls, and a few boys, but none are as friendly as her. Maybe someone will step up and fill the void.

I know what you mean, none of mine are like her either, she would jump up in my lap on her own, and sleep on my arm. Trying to make the others be like her isn't working and not the same. Time heals all wounds....
