Good cars?

Well to have something long lasting I recommend 3 brands. Honda, Toyota, and Subaru. My family personally only buys honda and toyota, but thats once every 10-15 years. They generally can last 200k miles without any issues. My dad's truck is a 2000 at 135k and nothing has gone except the starter. Bottom line is, history proves it. The highest milage car i know of is a honda accord.
Search "million mile joe" on youtube.

They built quality engines that last. All 3. I hope you find a nice car at a good price, but i really hope you get a good brand. Makes all the difference in the world.

One other thing though. Toyota generally uses much heavier metal in the cars compared to honda. This should make them a bit safer.

Searching high-milage hondas or toyotas should be pretty good proof! They can (can) last 200k with no problems if you do the maintainence (which everybody thinks its ok to skip but its not) but every now and then you find a car thats really tough lasts longer.

They by far beat out other brands though. And toyota now officially builds more cars in the u.s than the big american companies (ford, chevy, dodge) which assemble their vehicles in MEXICO.

Hope my knowledge can help! Good Luck!
