If it looks like the the day 10 photo in the candling thread, put it back in and leave it alone. Its a good egg. My eggs on day 10 didn't have any movement like day 7 and I was worried something went wrong and they died. That is what they are supposed to look like. The ones we threw out on day 10 had no dark area at all. They looked like the first candling photo of the fresh egg still. We cracked one open and there was no development in the ones that looked like the fresh eggs.

OK, for eating: My chicken is a ground bird in a cage. She likes to pull out of the dish then eat it off of the ground covered with chicken-poop. I tried straw and wood shavings, but she scratches them out of the cage, leaving poop.

This is an egg laying bird and I see evidence of her eating her poop! Are her eggs good to eat? (also laid on dry poop!)
