New to keeping chickens. Got my first birds today. Just two older hens my daughter “inherited” from previous home owner when she moved into her new home last month. They didn’t integrate well with her flock of 20-30. I love the idea of keeping these old girls (Aunt Bertha and Agnes) so they can live out there lives in comfort.

Thank you so much. Honestly we get all the eggs we need from our daughter, and I was looking for a tiny tick eradication team and fertilizer for my gardens. Seemed like a good arraignment. I am surprised how mesmerizing it was just sitting and watching the chickens settle in this evening. It’s like therapy LOL

I like your style, how nice to take older hens and let them live out their lives as chickens. I bet they are having the best time they ever did. No pressure, no threats that if they don't lay they will be tomorrow's dinner. So glad you joined the BYC community
