Good girl, Ruby!! Pics added!!

We took our 5 month old springer pup, Ruby, to a gundog test today!! No....she was not competing but going to meet the other dogs and see what goes on. She has been quite scared of other dogs so far but today she was really good!! She socialised really well and was so interested in the others working. Jac, our 2 yr old, won first in the Novice and Ruby watched every second of their run - she was such a good girl!!

I love Springers, they are really pretty dogs. Mine is a red Boston Terrier. I need low-maintenance.

How did she do with the shooting? Or is she used to it?

They were using a starter pistol and the wind was so strong - it was a good first experience. She was interested but did not flinch at all!!
I will try with a pic but I am not good at it so need to look for instructions!!

Both Jac and Ruby are very nice looking dogs - he is so handsome and a lovely nature - and she has a cute pup face! I love them to bits!!

Beautiful dogs there, we watched an adult male in the summers when I was a kid, I always wished his owners would not come back and take him back, he was called Skipper and at the same time we had a younger male we called Pojken. Grew up out in the country and kept parakeets. The birds would ride on the backs of the dogs, holding onto their collars, Pojken and Skipper would open and shut the door, taking the parakeets for a walk outside and bring them back inside Ptarmigan hens would follow Grampa up and down the dirt road, back and forth from the house to the dredge and back down to the shop/garage while he searched for tools and parts, ptarmigan chicks all in a line and we'd hold the chicks while Pojken and Skipper tagged along, too. Springers are such awesome dogs The only time those two dogs didn't want anything to do with me was when I found a robin egg and thought I'd hatch it overnight in my sleeping bag...it was rotten and I rolled over and crushed it...no one wanted near...

JacyJones, those are GORGEOUS dogs! I'm English living in the US and I brought my two Springers with me..... Is Ruby a Rytex dog? I have a Rytex who looks just like her, your two are what field springers are MEANT to look like!!
