Good Grief

I have a psycho barred rock. She never gets let out of the run, but she paces back and forth like she will somehow find and opening and get out of there. It never ends... the behavior is there, day after day. I think if I ever let her out the coop or run, she'd be working her way down the run trying to find a way back in... PSYCHO I TELL YOU!

We have a leghorn roo (Napoleon) that does not like anyone to come near the house. He crows at cars, dogs, cats, people. He is our "watch chicken." If a hen gets out, he loses his mind. When you go to put her back, he freaks out. It wouldn't be so funny, but I am a pastor at a church and live in the the church yard in the parsonage. Sunday morning and Sunday evening drive him crazy.

We named him Napoleon because he was a runt in the group of chicks, but got his comb first and started crowing and acting like he was huge. We had a second roo that was large (for a leghorn) and he finally matured and became mean. Since he was big and mean, we named him Stalin. Stalin ended up getting sold because 2 roos and 11 hens is too many roos. But he is pretty Dynamite.

I have Lt. Brahma pullet that pulls a Steven Seagal kick on the run gate if I don't open it fast enough to let them out to free range!

Ok, I guess you had to be there.

LOL Buster, somehow I missed that one....That is hilarious...maybe she found a surprise somewhere and did not want you to know where it was....You know how it is, your mom and dad leave the house and say stay out of the ice cream so .......as soon as they are out of the driveway, you go get the icecream...and you see them coming back and it is scramble scramble scramble! LOL
