I set 36 eggs 24 were infertile

So, I only had my 12 that I threw in for fun. I had 7 hatch out and another is Zipping

I had 3 silkies in there but they died at day 16ish

They were cute little black ones. If this one hatches out thats 8 out of 11 is that 80%? Thats my best hatch yet.

I had a little test with these last 2 hatches my other was 21 eggs on day 18. 2 hatched, I helped one but they didn't thrive and both died. Out of 21 viable eggs pretty much 0%.
My test was-- is a turner more important or a fan?
My first hatch was 24% 33 eggs 19 at day 18- 8 hatched 1 died. still air hand turn
Second hatch was 0% 32 eggs 21 at day 18- 2 hatched 2 died. Still air Auto Turn
Third hatch was 80%? 36 eggs 11 at day 18- 7 hatched 0 died. Forced air hand turn
I had them in 2 different incubators. I also tried the carton method on this last hatch. (which I decided is good for me)
The results speak for themselves. I will be getting another new incubator sometime this season WITH a fan or be putting one in. I didn't realize it made such a difference.
I've also learned the hard way, and decided to NEVER help a chick hach unless they say my name and ask for help!
Pictures to come soon. Cause I know you're jealous!!

Well even though no one seems interested, I'll add picks anyways. These guys are potentially the cutest chicks I've EVER seen.

Enjoy.~

What kind are the little white ones? I have some like that. They are red pyle OEGB mixes. But they are white with black spots as well. I call them my dalmation chicks!!

Mine are black australorp and leghorn mix. Funny the roo is the leghorn, I figured they'd be mostly black. I love Cali Whites so I have some home made ones now.
