I am almost sure this 15 week old is a roo. I cannot keep roos where I live and will need a good home for it if I am right. Live in Kent, UK. Any suggestions that do not involve freezing him? He really is a great character and have grown attached to him.

Any idea what breed? Is it a mix/mutt?

Not so sure it is a roo, but others on here are a lot better at this than I.

If it is a mix you may not know til it crows/lays. Many crow by this age; mine are 15 weeks and several have been crowing for probably 3-4 weeks now.

The comb and wattles are not very big for a roo. Maybe they are turning red because it is a she, and about to lay. Is it squatting, by any chance?

Those are pretty thin legs for a roo, too.

Pretty bird!

SHE looks very pretty to me. I'd wait until she's laying or crowing to make a final decision, but I'm almost postive that's a pullet!!

Not a pure one though...how weird looking.

Can you look on the saddle area and see if he has any pointed saddle feathers coming in? By 15 weeks he should have those started, if it is indeed a male.
