I'm new to the community and I feel new to chicken keeping. I'm currently raising my second laying flock, they are 11 weeks old. The first group were red sex links, they were great layers and so gentle, this group is a mixture of Barred Plymouth Rocks, Azure Blues and Olive Eggers, with one left over (injured and recovering) red-sex link. I really enjoy brooding, raising and taming chickens, I gave our last flock away to various friends who wanted to start with chickens or needed to replace their flocks. I would love to get into hatching my own but I feel a bit intimidated by the venture.
I found byc when I was searching for answers to chicken questions.
