Good morning!
My name is Missy - 46 year old single mom of an amazing 10 year old daughter and 8 year old son. We live with my mother in Lexington, SC. We are first time backyard chicken parents.
We just built the coop yesterday so no chickens yet. We are trying to make sure we have everything the ladies will need before choosing our hens. We have not decided on what breed yet either. So expect plenty of questions from me!
Other hobbies include working out, hiking, visiting our state parks, and traveling.
We have 4 indoor cats - a momma and her kids that we took in the summer of the pandemic. I am a police officer who now works in administration as I am old (lol) and need the normal schedule.
I found the community through Google looking information on raising chickens. Happy to be here!
