I'm really happy to have found this site, even if the reason for my web search isn't as happy.
My bird, Chicken Mole, passed away this morning. I am really upset that my lovely bird passed away. I didn't think I would be this upset, but I am.
I am also concerned about my remaining flock: 3 hens, 1 rooster. They look fine. Although Chicken Mole's sister is being bullied by the other hens.
Chicken Mole became lethargic yesterday evening; my wife, Michelle, noticed that she had been having watery stools earlier in the day but didn't think anything of it.
Should I be concerned about the rest of the flock?
We also have 4 dogs, 1 puppy (10 weeks), and a cat. Do you folks think that my non-bird companions be transmitted whatever killed Chicken Mole?
What about my human family; can we get sick as well?
Thanks for your feedback.
