Hello! My family and I just “adopted” a friends 4 hens yesterday. They are approx 8 months old and I’m unsure of their breeds. Although, I plan to google that today. I would love beginner tips and advice to keep these girls happy and healthy. One of the hens was described as “broody” And the other 3 as “layers.”
I actually heard about this community from the clerk at Home Depot where we purchased our first coop. We were VERY limited on time (1 day notice) and options before being asked to bring these girls home. We already have ordered a different coop that should be here this week.
Before bringing the girls home yesterday, we were a family of five. Two boys (6, 4) and one girl(2) plus, a year old lab mix, 3 kitty cats and 3 betta Fish.
Thank you for this community and especially for all your helpful and encouraging tips.
