Good Neighbor Skills 101...Failed!!

Quote:
Good thing he died recently, he not only killed my cat, but many others, AND managed to take out half of someones garage (and nearly their two small children!) when backing out of his drive-way last year.

Hmm...I'm not an expert on mental health so I really don't know what to say. I've contacted her pastor and since then they've organized willing church members to make a 2-3 times a week visit with her. I believe he is in the process of contacting her family member if he felt necessary and I left it as that. So we will see.
But thank you for your info.

And kudo to you and your hubby for stepping up to care for his mom. What a wonderful wife you are. My mother went through it with her own mother and I know it's not an easy task, it takes a special person to do it.

Man ,sorry if that lady would have been in my door nobody would have to call the police, theyd have to call the EMT's or the coroner. I have a baseball bat bythe door and by the bat for that reason. What she did was assault with a deadly weapon. I dont care how upset she was, but you dont come to me acting like that.
How are you going to feel if she does that again , but this time somebody gets hurt or killed? Call the cops let the witness talk... Not doing anything is like supporting a drunk driver.

How would I feel if my children get hurt or killed?...
Well, I'd be devestated of course.

So my DH and I followed our instinct and used our best judgement and did what we see fit.

I hope you do the same (follow your instinct, I mean) if the time ever comes.

Aha, none of those things happened at lupin farm...infact we have yet to really move into the farm, we move on Wednesday! ... Mr. Parker the elderly neighbor from hell lived next to us in our "in the suburbs," house.

Lots of luck with your new neighbors, if you even have any of course

Haha, we do have neighbors...well, one actually, on the left side, otherwise we are backed, and sided on the right by the old owners farm land, he bought the 150 acres of the property and severed about 8-10 acres with the house for a hobby farm, and kept the 150 to add onto his own cow and crop farm.

We're doing pasture board

want to end up being a private boarding facility. Getting a riding/driving horse, hopefully a perchXthoroughbred so we can ditch the car, and drive the cart into town.

I didn't make it through all the pages, but wanted t say that I've heard more crazy neighbor stories on BYC that take place in the "country" than in town! So, I too want to move to the country, but I'm not hoping to have as good of neighbors as I have now, living within 20 feet of my house. I'm glad your family, and the lady's cat is ok.

It still amaizes me to hear people talk about 20 acres here and 50 acres there on this forum. lol
Here we live on the coast of SC, owning 3 acres is like having your own kingdom around here

Good luck on your new business.
