The young chicks (5 weeks old) escaped from their pen today and got in with the older hens. I'm not sure how long they were together but everybody seemed to be getting along when I came along. The hens were slightly aggressive toward the young'ns but the chicks seemed to know to stay out of their way and everybody was fine. This is a good thing because it will make it much easier for the person who will look after my chickens when I go away for week at the end of the month.
