Good or bad? (Cockerel)

I agree! Be glad! Him seeing you as top being in the coop is a very good thing. I had to cull two cockerels when hormones hit because they became unholy terrors, both to me and the pullets.

We've always been lucky with cockerels being good. Sergeant is our 4th! Never had to cull any. Usually a predator takes them while they're defending the flock before we get use to them.

And it's not related to this but I caught him dust bathing with the hens! First time I've seen him do it

It kind of is related.....a dust bathing cockerel is a relaxed cockerel.

New behavior to report:
-Flying up to perch on my shoulder or arm.
-Stealing from my hands (tools, plastic items, etc).
-Fluffing his feathers before walking up to me.
-Pretending to eat if I walk past him before following after me.
