I can get the stuff in #40 lb bags for just 16 bucks!!! I was shocked since I saw people getting the same stuff in 50 lb bags and having it shipped for an arm and a leg. Looks like that custommilling is the way to go!

Yep, I can't recall where I first found these people, but I've bought 2 50# bags in the last six months. Great not to have to drive a long way with gas prices what they are.

I got a 50# bag yesterday from CustomMilling for 42.30, that was the DE and shipping, I got it in 2 days. Boy is it a BIG bag too.

I come to the conclusion that I will be paying a lot for DE...I have been calling everywhere in my area and no one seems to know the "right" DE that I am looking for. Everyone says yes it's Food grade when what they mean is it's feed grade GRRR. So I'm going to stick to the one I know is the right one. I thought that custommilling was selling the right one but the more I read about it the more I realize it's not the pure white 100% DE food grade that I"m looking for either! I never thought it would be so difficult to find this stuff! Good thing I have 21 days left before my chicks arrive!

I see some have ordered from custom milling...is your dust pure white? Or is it tanish? What is the percentage of DE on the bag? THanks much!

I went to www.perma-guard.com and looked under their resalers list. Found a place 15 miles from me that sells a 50# bag for $29. It's a link at the bottom that says "Order from your local distributor"
