Should this be a warning to people thinking of getting chicks? This should be included in the "What I Wish I Had Known Before Getting Chickens" thread from a while back.

# 42 If you have chickens, you must start wearing pajamas. Midnight coop-related rescues can be nippy.

HA HA! My DH-to-be and I did the same thing just last weekend! It was early in the morning. Neighbors (as well as us) were all asleep, but the sun had just come up. Luckily we were clothed! DH-to-be cut his foot open on who knows what. Our chickens were loud enough to wake up one of our neighbors, but at least we were clothed when they looked outside (making sure it wasn't their dog who got out (it wasn't)...VERY NICE neighors!)!

Hey, Barker, tell me your man got a tetanus shot or shcekced that he was up to date. Me no like to hear that he cut his foot open on "who knows what."

Everybody, check your immunization records!

LOL Good visual and cute story...I am glad the silkie is okay.

I would be in a world of hurt because DH and I both sleep in our birthday suits...I would not hesitate to go out the door and to the coop as I was...my girls are my babies.

How far away did you rehome mr possum? Hopefully a good 45 minute car ride away?
