Good Uses For Feathers?

Is there any good use for feathers after the buzzards have picked through all the guts, feet, etc.? I dump everything in one pile and after a week, all I have is feathers. And good use for them?

I added a bunch of goose feathers to a scarecrow. Any wind and the scarecrow moves some.

They compost well.

Nice new feathers in reasonably good condition are used in a lot of crafts, (I save some of the nicer feathers for that purpose) but not what's left from a pile of offal, I don't know of anything but compost for those.

But compost is a nice thing.
