Good worm thread?

I noticed awhile ago that a few of my chickens had dirty feathers around their vent and sloppy liquid poos. Then while I was cleaning the coop this morning, there was a poo on the roost with long clearish worms in it (dead). What the heck!?

What kind are these (without pics, sorry). Or is there a good thread on here with descriptions of this and cures? I have a few roosters, LOTS of free range hens, a dozen rare breed pullets, and chicks. I'm so afraid they all have this!! Is it contagious?

Any info at this point will help me tons. Thanks in advance.

you should probably worm them all. Dawg always knows what wormer to use - I think it's valbazen ? but you need to toss the eggs for a few weeks. I need to do my girls - just haven't had the chance to pick up the wormer yet. Maybe this weekend ...
