Goodbye aart

Someone needs to take up the banner of ‘where are you located’ in her honor (with the helpful screenshot of course).
I've been doing it for a while....
Here's my SS....

I always felt like :yesss: when she gave me a like
Me too.

When I was new here, I quickly learned that Aart was very knowledgeable. No BS, to the point. I automatically clicked on any thread she had commented on.

One year at Thanksgiving, someone had a thread titled something like, "What are you thankful for?" Someone posted that they were thankful for Aart. Her response was gracious, and a bit embarrassed.

She didn't go for get togethers (such as Michigan's Chickenstock, at least not the last few years), liked her privacy, but gave freely of her knowledge.

BYC is lucky to have had her here, poorer for her passing.

Fly high and free, beautiful Aart. RIP.

I knew Aart as a consistent commenter in my art thread. I greatly appreciated her levelheaded questions and critiques of my work; they made her praise even more rewarding. It was an honor to receive her advice in my little thread, and I will miss seeing her comments and that iconic chicken juggling profile. 😔🤍🕊️

Aart was a fundamental source of knowledge and support on BYC. She’s helped so many with diagnostics, treatments and troubleshooting. Always freely giving of her time, guidance and vast amounts of knowledge. I knew I would learn something from reading her posts and articles. I loved her no nonsense replies. Many made me chuckle.

Aart will be greatly missed by everyone.
I will most surely miss her 💜
