Goodbye aart

I wish I had seen this thread back when I learned she had passed.

It took us a while, but we became quite good friends through our interactions in the Coop & Run forum and later in the Cafe. She PM'd me many times and offered support and condolences when I was going through horrible personal struggles between losing dogs, my mother and my husband.
I liked to post on my building and remodeling projects as she got a kick out of them and always had a comment to offer. I still think of her daily.
I just plain miss her.

Sad news. I did not know her well, but she always had solid advice and was a prominent member of BYC. I remember she helped me with my coops. I was thankful for her knowledge. May she rest easy. I bet she’s up there determining how to better ventilate that big coop in the sky

I don't have too much to say... I didn't know her, and I don't think we ever chatted. But I do know she touched so many lives here on BYC and I'm sure she has off of this site too. This thread has made me cry. Fly high and free, Aart. No more pain, no more sorrow, just freedom.

When my mom passed away 2 yrs ago, I posted her obituary on her Facebook page. I knew she played Farmville online to pass the time. I was not prepared for how many people from Farmville reached out on her online obit. As wonderful and helpful as Anne was to so many on this site, I hope her family is as genuinely touched as I was by the outpouring of sympathy and support from BYC members.
