I’ll really miss her. She was the best hamster you can get. Sweet, funny, resilient, and told off rough handlers with her her teeth.
She went in her sleep, peacefully. She was eating and running on her wheel in her big glass tank until the end. She had all the fancy toys in the world that she never used, 2 wheels, and all the food she could ever want.
I think she was happy.
She lived to be 2 years old, the high end of her lifespan.
She was a Winter White dwarf hamster.
And I really loved her.
And as it goes, I will and really do miss her.
Goodbye, Moonshadow.

Thanks.
I know she was ‘just a hamster’ to some, but she really was a family member. She was silly and cute, and super soft, and always there to comfort me. And I did really love her.
Love for an animal knows no species, whether it is a cat, dog, bird or hamster, the connection we have to them makes the pain no different. You loved her unconditionally, you gave her a wonderful life, she loved you and it hurts when they pass no matter what type of animal. :hugs

Thank you so much for your kind words.
