We were talking about a vocal hen in another post but I thought you might get a kick out of her here....this is Chanel, a rescue hen, I think she is a mix of Buff Brahma or Buff & Delaware, not sure of her age, guessing 3-4 yrs?

So she can be very vocal, not exactly a crow, I don't know what you'd call it, but she surely does put her 2 cents in.
I guess trying to describe what Chanel says...so the typical hen talk is like "Bock, Bock, Bock" except hers can be a very loud, very long "Bahhhhhhhhhhck" and here is a pic of her doing it! See the open beak? I'm tellin ya, she was talking! She does it much more when molting, so I am thinking this must be how a hen bitches & complains!
Too funny!

I love her...wow, I can't just post her as "the hen that talks too much" lol, so here she is as a wonderful mama, she was the best broody girl raising youngsters this spring!
