I just had a woman come to pick up a couple of male goslings from me, and I got the question "will these boys lay me any eggs?" Wow... they were serious as a heart attack! Imagine the money maker an egg laying gander would be!

So my question is, what is one of the goofiest questions you have gotten about your geese?

Really? Holy cow... I think that one takes the cake.

I did have a friend tell me once she was planning to order female hatching eggs. I asked her if she meant pullets and she said, "no, McMurray sells hatching eggs for the incubator that only hatch girls." I said, "sweetie, it's impossible to know what gender will pop out of that egg." We looked at the catalog and it was a little bit confusing the way they had them listed. I'm sure they figured most folks would just know, I reckon. I'm glad I talked to her before she put those eggs in the bator.

I've had many people people call my geese, ducks

Not about geese, but funny nonetheless...

I had my turkeys on display at the state fair and a mom with stroller stops by to look at them and goes, "Oh, Johnny, look at the vultures!" Ummm, no.

Hahaha!
How ironic.

Just the other day I got stopped on the road by a woman who had found a dog.
It was a black male Labrador.

She said,

"He's been running all over my yard. He is very hyper, he must be in HEAT!"

I then had to educate a very weird person on a slightly uncomfortable topic LOL

I would have said... if you act stupid- they'll pick your eyes out!
So... don't talk... they can hear what you are saying

I am completely new to raising chickens so I ask everyone I see if they have chickens and which are good layers, etc. I asked my son's friend which of his chickens were the best layers and he said "they all lay eggs except maybe the "guy ones" don't seem to lay any". As I am giggling hysterically I asked him if he's taken Biology in high school and he said "yes". What can I say...
