Gooie Poo in Barred Rock

Michael & Kathy, This is day 7 or the Corid and will start with the wormer tomorrow (my product said not to give to sick birds so I waited until they looked good again). My question is... how long before we can use the eggs they are now laying, after the Corid and wormer is stopped?? Thanks for any help. Kleo
You can eat the eggs during treatment with Corid.

Please tell me that the wormer you're going to use is *not* Wazine or Ivermectin, but is Safeguard, Panacur or Valbazen.

It only gets roundworms.

If roundworms were a problem, you could use it, Kleo. The problem with piperazine, the active ingredient in Wazine, is that it has been used so often for so long, it isn't very effective. That is why I mentioned Safe-guard liquid (Fenbendazole) or Valbazen suspension (Albendazole) as the dewormer to use.

Got-cha, It was all Tractor Supply had so husband got it. Will return and head to a grain store further away that I am sure will have what you listed. Thanks again. Penny is acting herself for sure but does still have a bit of a dirty butt. Will up-date later. Kleo

Tractor sells Safeguard for goats and Safeguard paste for horses and cattle, so check in the goat, cattle and horse section for it. And yes, you can use it on poultry, cats, dogs, reptiles, etc. Even though it's not labeled for them. :D
