So I have pine chips in my coop where I house my chickens and geese. The geese are making an absolute mess in the coop with the water. It is soaked in the coop. Pine chips don’t dry out fast enough and I don’t have the money or time to change the coop bedding every day. What do you all put in you goose coop that can withstand them playing in the water dish? I have a good sized pool for them but clearly they insist on playing with the water dish in the coop. (Pic of my geese from a few weeks ago for fun)

I had to section the geese off in their own area, otherwise the chickens don't get clean water. We use gravel, or sand, and shavings changed out as needed. We do most of the watering for the geese outside. They do make a mess.

The only time I have water in their pen is during the winter, or if I'm not able to let them out first thing in the AM, or if I feel like they need it for some reason.

When I do have water in the pen it's in a bucket contained in a pan to catch drip. If they want to play they can do it during the day outside in a kiddie pool.
