I found a saddleback colored goslings in an egg that was left in the nest my tufted sat on. it was chinese x tufted, it died in the egg. Made me sick when i opened the egg because that would have been my ultimate goal hit on the first year

i hate when geese finally hatch babies and then a gander with no mate starts mating with her and breaking her poor eggs and then you have to try and save the babies under the red heating lamp!

She hatched 10 of 15 eggs. 5 eggs were left behind, 4 of those had fully developed goslings in them. She smashed 3 goslings afterward but before she left the nest. Brought 7 outside where one broke its hip and one my Baby Fro(huge cottonball tuft) died at 2 & 1/2 mos of unseen birth defects. She raised 5 to adults

Wow 15! The goose with the most number goslings was my chinese that hatched 10-10 eggs last year

10 for a chinese is good. Im not sure i will let mine have that many this year, if i allow her to set at all.

I sell my babies so it doesnt matter how many i get i sell them at any age .i keep the ones that grow fastest and are in good form :-l

The bio parents took it up as their own and it was very friendly, so it would come up to anyone.
