Well after reading all the posts about Africans, and seeing all the lovely pics,I reckon I have a good chance of telling...but you´re quite right...here especially you have to be really sharp-eyed. If I manage to find one, I´ll put her with one of my dilute ganders...or one of the pieds......Living in brazil ,you will find out shortly and make sure that the africans the man has are proper africans!
And so far I can tell that two of my blue-eyed pied babies are ganders..they´re getting so handsome. One´s going to be a big chap (well, big for mine, at least!)
Candled at day 5 and had a couple iffy but nothing definite. But I'm not worried as those were all the very first eggs. The girls all laid 35 - 45 eggs last year so there is still time for the boys to get it right. Jean Luc is determined to get it right.
Second set goes in tonight. BTW first hatch of the season today... Buckeye and Lemon Cuckoo chicks
