My new adopted goose was acting just fine all week, then this morning went to the barn with me (as usual) but did not chase me when I went to feed the other geese.

I went back to get her (5 mins later) and found she had labored breathing. Took her back into the house and offered food and water (no interest) got instantly lethargic, lying down and breathing heavily for about ten minutes before going into involuntary wing movements and head/neck flailing. Passed away within 10 minutes. Total time from indication something was wrong to death was less than 30 minutes. This bird was an otherwise healthy 2-3 month gosling. Any ideas?

And should I be concerned about the rest of my birds? She had brief interaction (sharing the same yard for less than 10 mins a day, and taking one bath in the same creek yesterday morning). I have already collected, washed, and bleached everything she had -- blanket, food dish, waterer.

She was a wild goose rehab project as she was hatched with mobility problems and abandoned by the mother. But no apparent problems after the mobility issues were cleared up.

I am no expert but believe if there was something wrong with her at birth she did grow but it hit her and she just died. When gosling die as 3-5 month olds there has to be something wrong internally. As I said I am no expert but have been breeding Sebastopol's for over 7 years. Most healthy goslings will be strong if there are weak ones they will pass away on you.
As I said to me there was either something wrong internally or she got into something that killed her.
