GOOSE BREEDING THREAD - for breeding, incubating, hatching and rearing.

I can't help it 8GeeseALaying. I was supposed to get my silkie eggs today, but we've had an unseasonable winter storm here and the roads are not navigable, and we had to stay home. I was just trying to live vicariously through you! My incubator remains empty, doesn't mean yours has to lol. Maybe you should wait though, the first few eggs may not be fertile.
OH! I KNOW! You can incubate them for three or four days to SEE if they are fertile..you know...for science. Lol

We have a bad snow storm about to hit here this evening. I had to postpone my seperation of this pair incase i have to move them all into a stall in the barn tonight. Im not happy with having to wait. I may check fertility on these by cracking one.

Worked great! Added to my insanity that the neighbors accuss me of having. Rubber Glove, box of food coloring and a goose bottom in my face with a finger swabbing their bottoms got some weird looks LoL but it did work great and i got some ideas for ornaments in the process
