Serv, who knows what is going on at my place these days. It changes daily.

I had the best intentions of separating my 3 whites for pure white eggs. But No. 1 would not cooperate, so he wound up in the yard with the three. Then, the extra brown/white cross girl was beside herself since she is bonded to that group. So, a little bit ago I swept her up and relocated her to the yard. Hoping that tomorrow I can pull No. 1 and his girlfriend out and leave the white gander with his white girlfriend and the brown/white cross. In theory, the brown/white cross girl should produce white females and possible grey splash males.

Now my entire African flock is parked in my driveway raising up a fuss because they cannot get the whites freed.

I can see how it may be funny to you guys, even if it was not funny to us today. This is my final report on the matter (I hope!!). I have taken No. 1 and his girl back to horse pasture and everyone is happy. So, it is not the trio I intended but it works. As soon as the girls establish nests and laying pattern in yard, I'll be able to mark eggs from each girl and still have pure white eggs. Whew!
