GOOSE BREEDING THREAD - for breeding, incubating, hatching and rearing.

LT, please do not misunderstand. Not only do I agree the sentence is funny, but if I were reading it happening to someone else, I'd probably find the situation amusing too.

Make a picture of your geese so we can tell :)
Its easy to sex geese with pictures

I can see how it may be funny to you guys, even if it was not funny to us today. This is my final report on the matter (I hope!!). I have taken No. 1 and his girl back to horse pasture and everyone is happy. So, it is not the trio I intended but it works. As soon as the girls establish nests and laying pattern in yard, I'll be able to mark eggs from each girl and still have pure white eggs. Whew!
Well sorted.

Thanks Serv and LB.

So far this morning everyone left on horse pasture appear content, but the separated girls are beside themselves, wanting to lay eggs in their established nests. Poor things.

awell they will be used to it after a week or 2 :) And then you can get a few african babies ,if i lived near you in the states i would have asked you for African eggs straight away

Thanks, I hope so! If only there were more white African breeders, I would not go through this trouble. But I feel a weird responsibility to help increase the white African numbers and hope that between myself and the people who are getting their eggs, we will hatch at least 8-12 babies this spring.

I recently got 13 African goose eggs and I was wondering, how do you hatch them, what temperature do you keep them at, do you spray them with a mist, and how often do you turn them
